One of the few things that most people can agree on is the perpetual movement that we experience. Planets move, bodies move, our cells move; every action, every decision we make requires some movement and for Teck24 —Colombian artist—movement is key to understanding his strokes, which, in their different configurations, become complex to represent everything from letters and textures to phrases or sentences that traverse spaces, bodies, consciences and temporalities.
“Movements” is an analysis of the stroke as an act and as a metaphor. Each piece allows us to observe the way in which writing expands towards the intangible, narrated by this curious personification of the stroke, full of details and symbolism, building a path that goes beyond text and form.
