SEMANA DIABLA
Devil's Week

DEVIL'S WEEK

Many years ago, in the days leading up to the spring solstice, ancient civilizations gave themselves over to singing, dancing and partying in great celebrations and carnivals to celebrate abundance, fertility, wine, the land and the end of the winter seasons. With the rise of Christianity, these festivities were replaced by the Easter celebrations.

SEMANA DIABLA is our response to these traditions that have obedience as their priority. It is a festival that prioritizes criticism, subversion and questioning of established precepts through artistic expression, directly confronting the cultural, social and moral impositions that have been rooted for centuries in Latin American societies.

The festival showcases the work of invited artists through exhibitions, art markets, talks, workshops and other activities, encouraging consumption and support for local and independent artists and brands.
