Cartoon Sadness Vol. 3

Sadness took over Cartoon Madness for the third consecutive year and thanks to the pandemic giving us a chance, we returned recharge2 with a collective exhibition at GAMA and an art market for the first time in Barrio Alameda.

Cartoon Sadness vol. 3 is our way of criticizing hyperconsumption and the romantic love that we were taught to celebrate year after year during the month of February.

Valentine's Day may go down in history as the most cheesy holiday of the year; as soon as the holiday is mentioned, people think of stuffed animals, hearts, balloons, illustrations of precious moments and bouquets of flowers with ridiculous prices :O.

We joined that bandwagon to add some funny negativity to the cloying month, because after all there are always excuses to be sad. In this exhibition, there were pieces of love, heartbreak, hate and sadness to remind you that life has everything and that sometimes the best thing is to laugh at your own misery. :)
