JOAN TARRAGÓ

The constant exploration of an exotic graphic language through travel and research is the backbone of the tireless work of Joan Tarragó (Barcelona, ​​1981). He travels to faraway and wild places in the world and absorbs all the inspiration he can find.

Tarragó seeks out indigenous arts and crafts, looking to nature and its graphic legacy. Exploration is a big part of his work, drawing inspiration from typography, textures, movement, languages ​​and cultures. He believes that painting and illustration are no longer limited by flat format, but very often inspect and develop space.
